The Happening Review

So last week when I was sick, I watched the movie "The Happening", here is my review for it:

The movie "The Happening" is basically about an event that happened in North America. The first stage is lost human speech (eg stuttering words), the second stage is loss in human movement (The person can't move) and the third is... Suicide.

Ever since when I was sick, I have become a huge fan of M Night Shyamalan, and this is no exception. He may not be capable to win oscars, but he sure has established his own style of filmmaking.

The Happening delivers creepiness, action, mystery, romance & horror. It also delivers meaning. All of this Happened for a reason. The reason applies to our world too, not just theirs.

The plot, I thought was well done. Everything seemed to happen at a nice pace. It allowed us to think about the events and we would be introduced to the answers later.

Shyamalan, lacks in the elements of film needed to produce an oscar ( Cinematography, music, etc) but he still produced a film worth watching again. I disagree with the critics on this. I loved this film!

Smile Because Your The Deer In The Headlights. UPDATE!!

This week has been crazy! Swimming and working! But next week I will be more relaxed so I can write more. This summer is awesome! I have been jumping on my trampoline and I just finished trying to swim, but coming out because I was freezing cold (Im always cold). Now I just came inside and am going to write.

Whats a perfect album/artist for summer? My choice is Owl City. Owl City is so amazing. Some people complain about his songs being repetitive, but I highly disagree. Owl City-Adam, is one of those artist's that sees the world with different eyes. He talks about the hidden wonder in our lives and regards the world with optimism, something mosts artists don't do. Instead of saying bad things, like how much he hates something, he talks about the good parts. This is why he is the ultimate summer listen. Summer is Stress-free and happy. Thats why we listen to owl city!!

Now I will switch back to movies. Sadly, Zookeeper has been rated rotten. I was looking forwards to it too. But I don't relay on the reviews, I like to see it myself and then review it. Red Riding Hood got terrible reviews didn't it. But I loved it!

I have only seen partial bits and pieces of movies so far this summer because of thee busyness. But I will review "The Happening" tomorrow morning. '

My brother watched "Rise Of The Silver Surfer" this morning. Its a good movie. Really good plot & Ideas. I love marvel movies because you can relate to them more. Okay, Ill save that topic for another post!

M Night Shyamalan

So my favourite directors are: Steven Spielberg, Roland Emmerich, James Cameron, Darren Arnofsky & Clint Eastwood. Well thanks to my wonderful mother who sat there and nurtured me when I was sick, I was able to watch my very first M Night Shyamalan movie: The Happening.

This guy is brilliant! I loved his movies! (Although since I was so sick, I fell asleep during The Village, but I plan to watch it again). I watched The Happening & Devil, which he wrote. I am amazed. This guy is awesome. And Brilliant.

Okay, I know he may not be big in the Oscars, but got nominated, but he deserves a whole different category for his movies. The Happening had a meaning behind it and that felt so important, even though It got bad reviews.

I do admit, his films aren't for everyone, but they should be.  He just has such a unique style to his writing and directing. The reason why his movie " The Last Airbender" got such awful reviews was because it wasn't his usual work.

I will try to review his film "The Happening" soon. But I can't promise anything.

So I hope that when it is one of those movie nights, you will pick up a M Night movie and watch it!!

UPDATE.

I will be extremely and I mean EXTREMELY BUSY this week! I hate this cause I can't write that often at all!!! Im swimming-intensly swimming and doing something that involves my whole future!!! Bleh.

So anyway... I was able to grab some free time (Oh and my strep throat is gone) and write something. My future blog entry will be posted soon so for all those email recipients who are receiving this, I am better but busy. My updates will be short and simple.

I will update this so check out my blog now! Or it will email it to you. In a while.

I watched: Couples Retreat, The Happening, Twilight & the tourist.  I will review them soon but right now I need to lie down. Ugh.

Canada Day!!!

Yay! Today is Canada Day!! I love Canada! Living in such an awesome country. Wait- I bet you're probably asking. "How does this apply to entertainment". Well here I will list some of the many Canadian people that inspire me.

Celine Dion

I grew up listening to her music, her voice is amazing and unique and she is known for that.
James Cameron
James Cameron is one of the movie directors that everyone wants to be like. Titanic and Avatar both are at the top of the most watched films and he has won Oscars for his films. He is known all over the world.
Avril Lavigne

She is so popular and her music is SO catchy. She has won awards and has came out with 4 albums. Just recently she came out with her new CD called "Goodbye Lullaby" which has already had 2 hit songs: "What the hell" and "Smile".
Lights

LIGHTS is a rising star. She has already worked with big stars such as Owl City and received Rad reviews on her CD's. Her songs "Second go" and "Saviour" had become hits.
Nikki Yanofsky

Nikki Yanofsky is amazing. Her voice is just-- Wow. I was amazed at the NATIONAL Olympics when she sang for Canada and sang the song "I believe". She is also so down to earth.
Shania Twain

Shania Twain is an awesome country singer and she came from Canada. She has an Autobiography and her new song "Today is your day" out on itunes!!
Sarah McLaughian

I listened to her songs as a kid and she is really good!!! I just love her music style.

Fefe Dobson

Fefe Dobson is a rising star. She has had 3 hit songs and has sung in the "Wavin Flag" for Haiti. I feel like we are going to see her more often because of her rapid success.

Justin Bieber

Im not a huge fan- but I respect him. He has worked hard to get to the place he is today and he deserves his fans. He started out just like us.
Alyssa Reid

Alyssa Reid is a role model. She tried and was on The Next Star- she diden't win. But she kept trying and got a record deal with Wax Records. She was at the MMVA's and has won awards. Her new album is really good and I hope she continues making awesome music!!

These are just a few of the many inspirational Canadians we have. Who do you think is inspiring in Canada? Write below on the comments.

Teen Wolf Review

When the T.V show Teen Wolf came out, the next day I found out that it was free on my itunes so I figured... Why not? Looks like a decent show with all this Supernatural stuff and all. So I watched it.

For starters the show Teen Wolf is about well- a Werewolf that is a teenager. So it starts with this boy in high school. Its the first day and everything good happens to him. He gets a spot on the lacrosse team and gets the girl. Then his friend notices something strange, he is showing symptoms of a wolf bite- a werewolf bite.

So the show is interesting. It kept me hooked for a while. Even though the plot is basic, nothing special, the show proves to be a valuable T.V show thats worth watching. It is really cool when he turns into a wolf.

Another reason why I like this show is because it is not just for girls. I bet boys do not really dream of watching Pretty Little Liars and that they would rather watch this show. They actually might be hooked onto it.

Overall I would recommend Teen Wolf, it is a good show- but comes below Vampire Diaries and above Chloe King and Pretty Little Liars.

Hereafter Review

So late last night I decided to watch the Clint Eastwood film, Hereafter. After seeing the trailer, I was drawn to the storyline of the film, which is about death and the afterlife.

So basically Hereafter is a movie about 3 people, a french woman who almost died in a tsunami, a american physic who can connect with the afterlife and a boy who was traumatized by someones death. This is about how these 3 people find each other.

Overall I liked the movie, but it was very slow. The beginning shows the roots of the 3 people, but still drags on. Their journey was quite slow ,but it got exciting near the end where they finally intersected with each other.

I thought the movie, personally was lacking in musical elements. Music is what gives "power" to movies, so I thought that it made the movie lack power and emotion in a way.

Acting was good, a highlight in the film. These actors and actresses really conveyed the emotions of the characters that they portrayed in the film.

I do respect Clint Eastwood and agree that he directed this film well, but the other elements should of been more emphasized.

Also another strength in the film is the plot, it is kind of like a puzzle, things happen and a couple minutes later you are finally able to piece them together.

Overall Hereafter is a good film, I would recommend it if you like Clint Eastwood films and enjoy learning about afterlife and supernatural aspects of our world. Also I would recommend it if you are a film and movie fan (Like me)!!

Saturday!!!

So happy Saturday! I am so happy that school is almost over! Well I love school-work, I like to be busy, but at the end of the year stuff tends to get a little tiresome. Teachers don't do anything with us, really. On Friday we had our last math class, now Monday is pretty much going to be the last school day. We have a trip on Tuesday and Wednesday is the last day.

So my week was fine. Do you know why I am happy? I won 4 awards!!! Im not graduating or anything but at the awards ceremony, I got 4 awards: Math achievement award, English achievement award, honour roll and french effort!! Yay!

Im also Really Sorry! I wasn't able to watch The Art Of Getting By, for apparently it had so many bad reviews that they took it out of my theatres for this weekend. I will try though!

Another thing, the tree of life looks really good. So I added it to my top 7 (now 8) movies to see this summer! Looks amazing!!!!!!

Ok thats it for my update! I'll check back on more media tomorrow!!

Tangled Movie Review

Today I will review the movie Tangled. In case your mind is a bit foggy, here is the poster for the movie.

So this movie is a double take of the story Rupunzel. I actually enjoyed what Disney added to the film, adding the whole aspect of the magical plant and how it made Rupunzel. Also when I watched it, the music wasn't that bad, it was actually very catchy. At the beginning she sings this song- about her typical day. I couldn't get it out of my head for the entire day.

So the movie is typically about Rupunzel, she lives in a tower and is isolated, she only sees her "Mother" every day. The "Mother" just uses her power to make the mother stay young. One day, Rupunzel meets Flyn Ryder, a criminal. She then forces him to escape with her so she can see the light ceremony which is held on her birthday.

So the aspects of this movie were the typical disney. I have to say that the animation was amazing. Of coarse, I don't do animation but I still have seen the improvement of it through the years and what we got to turned out amazing.

Tangled. Well I have to say, I saw it in theatres, but I re-watched it later, the 3D wasn't really worth it. The movie was great but in 3D? I get headaches!!!

Well overall the movie Tangled is a perfect movie for a family night or babysitting. I would highly recommend it because it is funny and appeals to older audiences too!

The Game-Review!!

Alyssa Reid came out with her new album: The Game today! I pre-ordered it on itunes and I was so excited after I heard it on First Spin!! So now I will go through the track listing with you! I can't get these songs from youtube so I will just give you the muchmusic link!

Tracks:

1. Letting Go:I love this song, it really shows off her voice. But its WAY too short!! I wish it was longer and whats with the "Hello and...Welcome" at the end.....

2. The Game: It sounds like alone again... But it is still a great, catchy song! "It's all part of the game, the game, the game, we all play the same"

3. XO: This is a total party song, I could so hear in clubs at night where people are dancing. "I gave you my heeeaaarrrrtttt!!!"

4. Alone Again: I told you already this is a great remake!!! Also the rap is better than most raps because I can actually understand and sing along with it!! " Till now, I always got by on my own, I never really cared until I met you"

5. Interlude: This is like intermission.... I don't getr why we need it in a CD... But there was something like this in the Owl City CD.

6. Talk Me Down: This is a good song, it has good meaning. Its like a encouragement song. " You can't talk me down, cause i'm here now"

7. The Dark Side: I like this song, again a club song. But it has a different style than XO. I can imagine the cover of the album being the single cover for this song for some reason.
" I come to life"

8. Go: I like this song, just a song with a good beat. This is a good song for like a walk or jog. I just liked it!!
"Even if you care, I wouldn't dare to follow"

9.Without You: more like the song go. Good beat. Good meaning. It's about losing someone. I think.
"I finally made it here without you"

10. Burned:This song is slower, It kinda says that she wants to get revenge on someone, but she's already been hurt too much to get them back. "But if you play with fire, you always get burned"

11. Live to tell: I like this song, its really encouraging. It tells you that you're not alone. I also love the instruments used in this song. "you're not alone, but theres more to this I know"

12-13 are just different versions of "Alone Again"

14. Watch Me Soar:(Exclusive to itunes) I love this song. It will probably be my favourite of the album. Its has the same message as "Mean" by Taylor Swift. It says that you can pick on me, but no matter what one day I will be free and you can "Watch me soar". This can apply to anyone, bullies or people who are mean to you.

15: Alone Again (Acoustic) I like this version, it is more like the Celine Dion version and the Heart version than the other Alone Again versions.

So overall I like this album and would rate it high (7.5-8.5 stars). If you like pop, you would love this album. There are songs on this album for both pop lovers and slow song lovers. There is also many songs with actual meaning, unlike some of the pop songs these days. Also buy it on itunes to get the song "Watch Me Soar".

Here is the link to listen to it. http://www.muchmusic.com/music/firstspin/alyssareid/
(Watch Me Soar isen't on it because it is exclusive to itunes)

Nine Lives of Chloe King vs Switched at birth

So over the weekend I decided to watch "The Nine Lives Of Chloe King" . Since this show is new, i'm sure that not everyone has heard of it. This show is about a girl- Chloe King, she is adopted and on her 16th birthday she discovers she has superpowers, like hearing, speed, vision and dogs hate her. I'm not going to give too much of it away, but it is a decent show. The acting is decent, the story line is good-  but not exactly original. Chloe's powers are like some superheros- like long nails etc.

I did find that this show was dirtier than the rest of the shows I was watching before (Pretty Little Liars,The Vampire Diaries). I was watching this with my brother, and he enjoyed it. I think he likes the whole "cat" idea though.

Overall the show wasn't bad, but it wasn't "Great". I hope it gets better, because this is only the first episode. If you liked Pretty Little Liars, I think you will like this show.

Switched at birth

Switched at birth is a show about 2 girls who discover that they were switched when they were born, their parents aren't actually their parents. When they meet the other family with the wrong kid, they get into lots of drama and fights-and awkwardness.

I have to say that I enjoyed switched at birth more than Chloe King because I found that the plot was more developed and the beginning was better explained. Also Switched At Birth was more realistic.

Both are from ABC family, and they feature the same types of cameras and music. But the plots were both different.

Overall, Switched at birth wins the battle, but the nine lives of chloe king comes in closely.

Super 8 Review!!!

I finally saw Super 8 and now i'm Super happy!!!!! Okay so here is my review for it:

Super 8 was a great film. But it wasn't a great film for the obvious reasons. I have to say that even when Spielberg wasn't directing and was producing, the film still had the "Spielberg" magic to it. I don't know, but I just find that his film have a certain magic, one that makes you smile to it.

Super 8 was about a train crash, witnessed by some kids ( I think older than me), they then noticed some things strange happening around town. They then realize that something escaped from the train...

This movie is more thriller and mystery then anything. There are many parts that make you jump, but its not that scary!!

The acting was awesome. I have to say that Elle Fanning brang it together and was really good. So were all the kids really.

The cinematography was really good, but what do you expect from jj Abrams (Star Trek)and Spielberg???? Amazing lighting angles and everything!! Could even be "Magical" .

My favourite part of the movie was the plot. It was surprising and really unexpected. It was set in my parents generation and the kids, their actions were really easy to relate to. Thats why I thought the movie was really funny too!!!

Overall Super 8 was a spectacular film and is a perfect summer film and I would recommend you to see it!!!

Owl City's new album!!

Okay so right now im listening to the new album from Owl City!! All things bright and beautiful!!! Here are the top songs and what I think.

Okay so Owl City is so talented. He thinks in such a witty and creative way, which makes him and his songs so likable!!! I was waiting for this CD forever and finally!!!! Its out!!!!

I own his other CD (Ocean Eyes) and it is amazing, perfect for summer and spring!! I listen to it when jumping on my trampoline! I love the songs Fireflies,Vanilla Twilight,Umbrella Beach,Hello Seattle, Dental Care & on the wing!!!

So his new CD is not a disappointment to us, actually better than the first. There are way more different styles of songs on this CD, and I would recommend it!!

TOP SONGS:

The Real World: I can so relate to this!!

Deer in the headlights: I just love the tune!!

Dreams don't turn to dust: Awesome song!!!!!

FT Lights!!! I love Lights and owl city!! Also the melody is really nice!!

Also I love the non rap version of alligator sky... Just so much more meaningful!

X Men!!!

After seeing X men first class, I decided that It was time that I re-watched the movies in the X men trilogy. I will review all three here. But not in too much detail.

X Men
I thought this movie was very interesting .It probably had the most humour of the 3 movies. This movie conveyed the back drop stories of the characters (Rogue, Wolverine). It also introduces magneto and mystique in a interesting way. Sabertooth is cool!!So the plotline for this movie is about the first epic fight with wolverine. They are trying to turn the humans into mutants to see what it feels like to be a mutant.

The special effects were cool in this movie, the acting was O.K. I think that it improved throughout the series.

Another thing is that marvel has amazing intro titles! I love the way the music and animation works. They are probably the best element. Spiderman is the example of THE BEST titles!

So This movie was great, one of the best.

X2 United

I thought this one was the best one of the trilogy. I love the fact that they have to work together to defeat the enemy. Also it is very unpredictable (Unless you read the comics). This one was very well done too. The acting also took a leap forwards.

One thing I recognized in this film is that Rouges relationship with wolverine tends to change. They are not as supportive as one another as they were in the previous movie. But nevertheless, still the best one.

X-Men the final stand

I liked this, but didn't love it. The harsh reviews were a little- harsh, but the movie still was good.

In this movie they stand up to the final fight, a cure was found for the mutants and they have to choose to take it, or stand up.

The reason why I didn't love it was because everything seemed to happen all at once. Things weren't explained and there was one logical solution to all the problems.(I won't say what I thought it was).

But the acting was the best in this one in my opinion. Also they introduced the "Girl that can walk through walls" more in this movie! Its Ellen Page!!!!!! From Inception!

So that is all right now for my reviews for X-men! TTYL!

The Hunger Games!!!

Incase you guys don't know I am a huge fan of the Hunger Games and I wanted to share my opinions on the movie with you guys (and the books).

Overall the books are amazing but my all time favourite is the first one!!!! Suzanne Collins is such an amazing writer and when I heard about it, I was grossed out. I thought that killing to death was a gross idea. But this had way more meaning! I even got my mom hooked on the series.

The casting. Lots of people complained about Jennifer Lawerence as Katniss. Im not! She is an amazing actress and I just love her acting in X-Men First Class and Winter's Bone! She just has all the spunk and ablities to play Katniss. Guess What? They can dye her hair brown so don't worry!

Josh Hutcherson as Peeta... Yeah they can make him Peetaish. He can act. Thats important. Dye his hair blonde and he can be Peeta. Think about his performance in Bridge to Terabithia, he truly communicated his feelings to the audience.

Liam Hemsworth as Gale. Yes he is an O.K actor. But he sort of looks like Gale! They can dye his hair too! And change his appearance.

Now I will show you links to Hunger Gams Stuff:

Recommended songs!

This has taken me a while, because I didn't see any songs that you might like, but here we go!

I was looking at artists on itunes and I came across lights. I have to say that I found a couple of songs that I thought were meaningful and that this is kind of like the girl owl city. But with more down-to- earth emotion. (I love owl city and his imagination)

I loved the songs Saviour and Second go. They are both the most popular songs on the album, but that is not why I like them. They both have the best rhythm and beat to them. The acrostic versions are really good too!

I have to say though, that the second go music video is taken in all one shot, which is cool. But I would've liked it better if it was taken with various shots.

Another song that I loved is by Christina Perri. I wrote on my twitter that I really liked it! Its called "Arms". Its amazing and has meaning to it.Christina Perri has an amazing voice and a song style like no other! Also I love the cinematographic angles and creative point of views in her videos! It really makes them unique!

Events:
Super 8 is out on Friday!!
21 days until the last day of school!!!

New Stuff!

M.T.V movie awards were 2 days ago and the hype is still on. Why? Twilight won. Surprise, Surprise. This was voted by teens so it is the most popular movie. But not necessary the best.Although it was still not bad.

Anyhow they released the new trailer with Robert and Kirsten AKA Bella and Eddy. I did read the book and it was the only Twilight book I have read.

They also released the official clip from HP7 part 2!! Super exciting! Ahhhh!!

I am so excited to see super 8 as well! Steven Spielberg one of my favourite directors is producing! I couldn't find the clip on youtube though.

Well to wrap it up. The awards were fine. But if Twilight was competing, it was guaranteed to win, the others didn't have a chance. Also the same with Justin Bieber. (Theres a reason for the oscars, this is peoples choice. Popularity, not quality but sometimes they have a compromise)

X- men first class review

So I have been waiting to see this movie.. Forever and I finally saw it!!!! Here is my review:

So I would say. That they key points in this movie was the plot and acting.

The plot was amazing and the script was really well written. The lines that e people said were really unique and suited their characters.

This is a movie about the orgins of professor x and magento it also features mystique and beasts story as well. I would say that after this movie I got really curious. How did they actually become enemies and how did mystique become so mean? I really hope they make another movie!

The plot was unpredictable and filled with action. I never knew what was going to happen next!

Acting: wow. Was amazing as well. I was very impressed with Jennifer Lawerences acting. I can't wait to see her in the hunger games. Also Lucas till starred. I had no idea he could aact that good. All the acting overall was great. Especially of Erik and Charles.

I also had no idea there was this many stars in the movie! The woman from Bridesmaids was in it too!

Overall if you like films for superheros and action packed movies, this film is for you. Even if you haven't watched the first 3 x men. You will still like this movie!

* Spoiler: Wolverine has an awesome cameo in this movie! It's so funny!!!!!

June 3rd

Today I would like to recommend a song that I discovered through Itunes. When Miranda Cosgrove new EP came out, I demoed all the songs on it because it was "Displaying" on itunes! I never had the chance to listen to it, until a couple weeks ago. I loved it. But then I forgot about it completely! This isn't really a song with "Heartfelt" emotion in it. But it is a power up song... Kind of like intuition, by Selena Gomez and the scene. I would defiantly recommend it for a party!

P.S She does swear (A word)But it isn't major

Coming Up:

X Men First Class!!!
So excited.. I saw the clips for it and It looks to good! Also Mystique is going to be our new Katniss Everdeen!

The Hangover

This week I have been out to "Discover" new types of technology. I made myself a twitter account!!! Yayyy :)!! Another thing? X men is out this weekend! So excited! I will be reviewing that FOR SURE!!

So I was sick in bed for half a day on Monday so I decided to watch one of my favourite movies: The Hangover!

First thing: I DID NOT understand all the joke in it.... But I do enjoy that movie... Especially Allen!

So here is my review for it!

The Hangover was a very unpredictable movie. What would we say about the elements of it? How good was it?

The acting is one of my favourite parts in it! The acting was AMAZING! I wouldn't be able to picture anyone else to play anyone! inappropriate Also if you look closely, you notice that Bridesmaids and the Hangover have several resemblances. Both WEDDINGS and both of them are with different people and have several memorable experiences together.

The 2nd movie? Im not sure!! My parents saw the first and loved it and wouldn't let me see the 2nd one? Why? Because they said that it was SO inappropriate, even for THEM! They said that this one was way funnier too. Maybe all movies don't have to be MAJORLY inappropriate to be funny!

Music... OK. During the movie we are more focused on the situations at hand than the music. But then the music is "cool".

Recommendations for who? Depends on the type of person you are. If you CAN'T STAND swearing. Not for you. But if you love funny movies, this is for you. I liked it. But it was extremely dirty. It was rated R for a reason right?

Due Date!

Yesterday I watched the movie Due Date. Here is my review for it :).

The movie Due Date is about a guy named Pater (Robert Downey Jr) who has to travel with someone named Ethan in order to see his wife give birth to a baby. They come across many obstacles and problems on the way, that come close to stopping them to see the wife give birth to the child.

Overall this film was O.KZach Galifianakis was really funny, but I thought he did better in the Hangover. There were some jokes in it that were funny. But i'm only 13 and I didn't understand some of them.

There were some very familiar songs in the movie, that had an old "Roadtrip" feeling to them. There was swearing in it here is the link for the parental guide on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1231583/parentalguide ).

I would say that I would recommend it for people who would like a "Light Laugh". But otherwise I would say that Bridesmaids is way funnier and so is the Hangover.

Water For Elephants Review

Hey sorry for the delay! But i saw Water For Elephants a couple of hours ago and just got back! Here is my review for it!

Water For Elephants firstly got its fame from the bestselling novel written by a Canadain Author (Sara Gruen). Then it was made with some of the biggest stars of all time: Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde and won an Oscar for best leading role in "Walk the line"), Robert Pattinson (Twilight, he plays the one and only Edward) and Christoph Waltz (who won best supporting role for his role in Inglorious Bastards). We thought it couldn't get any better right?Well it got a lot better!!

I came into the theatre with mixed expectations, the critics said bad things about it but the reviewers said good things about it. I didn't have a starting opinion for the movie so I just watched it and figured it out on the way.

The movie was introduced with an old man telling a story of his life. After his parents died, he jumped on a train that he had no idea where it went and got a job as a vet on the circus . He then meets the bosses wife who he falls for. The boss is known for treating animals cruelly and he hits them until they follow his command. He was nasty. I won't say anymore, but I was on the verge of tears for some parts of the film.

Now the elements in the filmmaking were stunning. The cinematographic elements were amazing and made it breathtaking in my opinion. Every shot and take from the camera had new creativity and still made the movie have emotion even without music, which is very rare for movies.

I would say that the editing was really nice too.It was done really well to show the shots needed to convey emotion in the film. The music was well done too!! (Click here to access it on itunes).

The only thing I found strange in this film would be in the mid-end of the film there is a sudden change of emotion, he just wakes up and the emotion changes from sadness to anger, like that! Im not sure if it was supposed to be that way, but I thought that change was sort of sudden and made it a little harder to follow up. But that may be just me.

I have to admit that the acting was good. Reese Witherspoon was amazing in the role and so was Christoph Waltz. I have never been a Twilight fan, but I have to admit that Robert Pattinson played his character decently and I was impressed with his acting because he seemed to display the emotions of the character well.

The animals were awesome in this movie. But there was a lot of beating. A person would smack the animal until it bled sometimes. It was so sad!

Overall I won't be surprised if this film gets a couple nominees for Oscars next year! I thought this film was done really well and I would recommend it!!! This film has for sure been underrated this year and I hope that it gets the attention that it deserves!

The Roommate

Hey! Today I have to post the review for "The Roommate"

So when I was watching T.V a couple months ago I came across the trailer for the Roommate and was like: "Whats this all about?". So then I went online and checked out the site with the full trailer on it. I thought it looked interesting. Then I was on Facebook and people were writing things like "Saw the Roommate! it was awesome!". So I figured I would go see it and see what I thought of it. I chose to post the review today because this week the Roommate came out on DVD and soundtrack. The music was done by John frizzel.

The Roommate is a film about a girl in college who has a new roommate. They seem to get along well until she notices that the Roommate has a secret and is following her around and obsessing over her.

The studio who makes these movies "Screen Gems" always makes the movies look innocent then they twist the plot to make you scared. (Prom Night)
First of all the plot, I would say is not that original. It is kind of like the plot for the movie "Single White Female" . I don't know if it is a remake or something.

Okay I have to say that it was really unrealistic in a way. There is no way that the people would not be able to notice that the Roommate is insane at the end of the film! They got warnings and everything!

A good thing about the movie was the acting! Leighon Meester is a really good actress and she played the role really well. Also the music really made the movie "Pop" out more because it conveyed the majority of the emotion.

The rest of the film was kinda tiring. It was perdictiable and a typicial movie, nothing special. But it could've been improved by making the main character smarter and more relatable to us, that would've kept us watching the movie.

Overall I would say if you want a laugh watch this with your friends but otherwise, chose another film to watch.

Here are some songs I would recommend to you!!

So this week on itunes they had the video for "Jar Of Hearts" free in Canada so I got it!!I have to say, at first I thought this song was O.K, but it grew on me!! This video is awesome and is a perfect example of a cinematographic music video.

Then I went on youtube, and I checked out some songs. I actually think that edge of glory is a good song by Lady Gaga. Its really catchy and I love how her style of music has changed!!! I really enjoyed the tune, just like Born This Way!!! Lady Gaga is just so original and she really has an amazing voice that shines through this song!! You don't see this much on her song "Judas".

Thirdly I love the song "Summer Train" By Greyson Chance. It hasn't released yet on itunes but it is amazing. Sorry if the pitch is off!!!  I truly am a Greysonator!!

Hope you enjoy this blog post!!!

Bridesmaids!!!

So yesterday night I saw the movie BridesMaids. It is a movie about different people who get chosen as the bridesmaids for someones wedding. I have to say that it was so funny!!! (14A)

It was really funny, but at the same time there was LOTS of swearing (F word,S word,B words, plus more bad words). There was some sexual scenes in it too.

But I would recommend it to people who want to have a fun time at the movies because there were some parts where I couldn't stop laughing!!!

There were some parts where my mother cried in it, because it made her sad or happy. Im not going to write a major review on this type of movie because I can't really review the elements of movies on comedy movies as much as other movies. But the theatre was PACKED!!! Imagine what the Hangover p2 is going to be like!!!

P.S water for elephants has won my poll so I will be watching that soon!!

Trailer

P.S Since the movie is 14A I wouldn't recommend it for younger people
for the parental guide of Bridesmaids go on this link (How many swear words, etc) :

The Day After Tomorrow

Okay today we are going to take a break from the movies right now and calm our heads... And watch an amazing DISASTER FILM!!!

Usually disaster movies are about people dying, wreak and more.. but what do we learn from them??? Well....Don't follow the boogyman down a black hole!

That is why I have to recommend this film to you guys because I know you will love it!!!I should've recommended it for earth day!! Okay today I will recommend the movie The Day After Tomorrow and why I love this movie so much!!

This movie shows what is happening to our earth. The earth is basically resetting itself into the ice-age because of the trouble we have caused. The Temperature is dropping just like it did before the first ice age. This is a message that we should take care of our earth or we may face consequences.

This film is directed by an amazing director, Roland Emmerich!! He is so amazing at conveying these messages. It is not that gory, it is more of a survival type thing where they try to keep warm and do the smartest thing to escape or survive the storm.

After I watched this movie, I had a whole different point of view on things, it really is an eye-opener.

I would recommend it to you, but if you can't handle the thought of a disaster. I wouldn't recommend it because you may not see it, but people do die. People fall and there is a lot of freezing and violent storms.
