Graduation! Eco Award

I am stunned. It's June 26th and grad has already passed by so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were starting grade 8 and now it's over. I cannot believe how fast time flies.

Even though time went by fast, this year has been one of my most accomplished years. I have been able to work with so many amazing people and work towards different goals. I am just so happy to have the honor of winning the Eco Award for my school.

I would not have been able to win this award without the amazing people in Eco Club. I started off the year as just a shy girl who liked to make movies and you guys have turned me into so much more than that. Our hard work and dedication has payed off in so many ways, by winning platinum twice, ecolympics and so much more. We have accomplished so much and I have made a lot of new friends! It is just a huge honor to win the award!

I would just like to thank: Emma S, Raquel V, Sepi M, Paula J and Chris E for helping me to accomplish so much this year. You guys aren't just the Eco Club anymore, you guys are my friends! Thanks so much guys!!

I would also like to thank Mr Rawlins for guiding us through Eco Club and taking the time out of his busy schedule to help us with our ecolympics dream. You haven't just taught us about the environment, you have taught us do much more than that!

Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity!!

Vampire Diaries Tag!

I saw people doing this on youtube, and I thought: Why not do this on my blog. Basicially it is a whole bunch of questions about a selected topic, I will be answering the questions on my favourite T.V series, the Vampire Diaries!!!!!!!

1. How did u discover the show?

I discovered this show when everyone was into twilight and such. My mom is a huge Twilight fan and still is and decided to try watching Vampire Diaries, I was not happy and asked her to change it. She told me that she was going to keep it on and after I watched 2 minutes of it, I was hooked!!!

2. Who's your favorite character!

My favourite character is Damon. I just love his bad guy essence and the fact that he isn't afraid to be who he wants to do what he wants. Ian Somehoulder just adds so much to the character and portrays him so well.

3. If you were vampire would u live of human or animal blood?

I am pretty sure I would live on the animal blood, but I think I would balance it out. I would never actually drink real human blood from a direct human, I would take it from the blood banks so it wouldn't hurt a human or animal.

4. Team Stephan or damon!

Team Damon. There isn't even a question. I have been team Damon since episode 1!!

5. What's ur favorite supernatural power?

I like the Vampires ability to make people forget stuff. Mostly I like the power of the witches, I think Bonnies powers are pretty cool, she can levitate and stuff like that and I would love to do that.

6. If u were to be a character who would u be?
I think I would be Katherine, I just love how she was able to travel the world and see so many different eras of time and meet so many different people. I wouldn't kill people, but I just think that element of Katherine's character and the fact that she embraces being a Vampire is pretty cool.
7. Have u read the book series?

I tried and I hated it. (Sorry)

8. Who's ur crush on the show?

Damon. Damon. Damon. ( Teehee)

9. What was ur first initial thought of the show and did it change after u saw it!

My first thought was a Twilight wannabe but it changed pretty fast and I always loved the series after that.

10. Who was ur favorite villain?

I really like Klaus because he had a really good sense of humour and some emotion too. Klaus and Caroline!!! Wow! I just loved that he could be so evil, but could be so sweet at some parts too.

Hope you enjoyed my Vampire Diaries Tag!!!
Be back soon :)

My Summer Anthem- Good Time ( Owl City ft Carly Rae Jepsen)

California Gurls? We are so over you. We have a new bouncy, happy, upbeat hit for summer. One that will keep us bouncing up and down, swimming and having good times with friends. May I present... GOOD TIME!!!

Give it a listen, it comes out June 26th. You won't be able to get it out of your head. I guarantee. Ohhhhh June 26th come fast.

It is truly summer.

One week and 2 days: Until Summer vacation. I still feel like it was the first day of school just a couple weeks ago. It's funny how time just keeps on getting faster and faster. One week and 2 days.

Half of my school was away today? Why? Because of the weather. It is like 40 degrees outside and everybody seems to be complaining about all the heat. Me? Well, i'm not cold, but I am definatly not overheated today. Everybody wishes they were me right now.

The curriculm is done for most students, not us. We have a french drama project, which frankly takes all the fun out of scriptwriting because of the tight requirements for what to write it about and the tenses and stuff. We also havea french geo project that I am just way to tired to do at this moment.

Just finished doing my english production. I made a commercial for Toronto and shot all the footage used in it! I just got my mark back and it was a 95!!! WHOOOHOOOOO

Grad is on Tuesday! Can you believe it? I am graduating. I grauduated 2 years ago. Another one. Yay. Lets put it this way: My grad is on Tuesday, Owl City's new song is on Tuesday. Which one am I most excited for? Take a guess.
I just finished my last shift being a libary moniteur, and the libary is so hot, luckily there is a nice fan beside me.

So, I shall be counting down the days until freedom, and I am just so excited to be back blogging this summer.

Some stuff coming up:
Brave Review
Special Entry ( With Photogirl1919)
School year summary
Wonderland
Maybe I'm Dreaming Review
THE MIDSUMMER STATION
Narrowed Down Info
Info on the future fairy tale theme coming our way for 2013
ETC.

If you are already on Summer Vacation, you have no idea how much I envy you.
Blah.

Snow White And The Huntsman Review

The dark twists to fairytales start with Snow White and the Huntsman. Snow White And The Huntsman is perhaps the most disturbing interpretation of a fairy tale I have watched. It is a whole different story really, not really a lot like the actual snow white.

Kirsten Stewart stars as the lead role, Snow White. Snow White witnessed her father being murdered by her evil stepmother. After that the stepmother locked her in a tower for 20 something years. Snow White has learned to survive- the tough way. The queen kills anyone who she has the fear of being more beautiful than her because "Beauty is her power". The kingdom has starved and has gone to terrible means to stay away from the witches wrath. They believe Snow White is dead....

The thing that stood out to me in this, was how unexpected it was. I totally expected a lot more romance, for pete sake it is a fairytale. But there was hardly a romance, a little bit of a love triangle but barley any romance, so if you are looking for romance, don't watch this.

The way the movie was edited was a very original way to edit the movie, that stood out alongside the special effects which were really good.

The acting was good, but Charlize Theron's acting is what stood out to me the most. Her performance as the evil queen just gave me chills. She totally played the character so well and just as I imaged and she totally exceeded by expectations in the terms of acting. Her acting is the reason that this movie may give nightmares to children.

Even though I enjoyed this movie, I expected more. I was so excited to see it and it just didn't live up to my many expectations. I repeat, I expected more. I expected more romance. I expected more to happen in the film. So by the end, I was a bit disappointed. I liked it but it seemed to be lacking a lot of things. I would recommend this to people who like action and fairy tales. I wouldn't really recommend it to kids because of the many scenes of violence, but I think some kids could still handle it. B+

OWL CITY TWEETED ME!

Hey Guys, So last night I was on twitter and I noticed Adam Young ( @owlcity) was online. I am a huge Owl City fan, so I tweeted him once telling him how inspired I was by his music.  Later on I was showing my dad something on my iPad and it flashed! Owl City replied to me! I was screaming and being so happy because that means for a split second he knew who I was!!!!! Just exploding out of happiness!I love that he makes an effort to reply to all his fans! Can't wait until July 9th!

Evidence of Adam Young's Awesomeness.

Now Playing- Some Nights ( Fun)

I love the song " We Are Young" by the band Fun. When I was looking on iTunes, I found this song (Some Nights) and I instantly loved it. It is the same style as We Are Young but a little more upbeat. I currently have this song on repeat! This song is super catchy and it is a good break from the current electronic music that you hear all the time nowadays!!!!

The Secret Circle is finished??? What is wrong with this world?

The Secret Circle, runner up to Vampire Diaries on my list. All my friends watched it, that is why I was so surprised to see that CW is cancelling the TV show, yes The Secret Circle is cancelled. Not being picked up.

The Secret Circle wasn't my favourite show of all time, not by a long shot. It was a lot like Vampire Diaries, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I thought for sure it was going to be contained, but for some reason it got cancelled.

Here is the reason: Viewers went down, almost halfway. I don't understand why the views went down, because as the show went on it seemed to get better and better and I kept on getting more and more hooked onto the show. One reason could be that it isn't as appropriate as the Vampire Diaries. The Vampire Diaries is its sister show, and it goes on right after, maybe if it was a tad bit more appropriate parents would watch it with their kids when it came on, instead of switching the channel.

I really, really want them to bring this show back, but I don't think that will happen! I just hope another good show comes along!!!

Narrowed Down- My Official Announcement!!!

Hey everyone,

I have been very, very, very busy recently for lots of reasons. The main reason is that I have been working on my first script for the past month and a half. The script is for a movie that I will be working on with some of my friends. We all express similar interest in the film industry and decided to work on a project together. We will all be going our separate ways next year and I thought we should work on something to remember each other. Enough with me talking. I'm just going to explain what it is about.

Narrowed Down Official Storyline:

After a gruesome murder occurrence in a close knit neighbourhood, the lives of 4 classmates interwind and they discover that their past has a great impact on the current crime.

I know this isn't much to work with on the story, but its what I am going to tell you until later!!! The official filming blog is : narroweddownblog.blogspot.com but since I am directing I will update this too on the info of the movie.

If you would like to see some photos, please visit my Narrowed Down photo album on Flickr.

Why I still like Instagram better than Facebook Camera.

I am proud to say I will not be using the Facebook camera on my phone, anytime soon.
The release of the app Facebook Camera triggered many questions: Its just like instagram! Facebook bought instagram! I decided to download it and try it. Not. For. Me.

Its pretty odvious what Facebook camera was made for, sharing photos on your Facebook. I don't really like that idea. When you share photos on Facebook, Facebook owns them. I don't want Facebook to own the photos I took the effort to take.

Another thing is that, Instagram is to share my photos with people who actually like photography. Facebook is to share it with everyone, the reason why I don't post my instagram photos on my Facebook profile is because I don't want people from Facebook to see them! I use instagram to get away from Facebook! Get away from those cheesy status updates and stupid quotes! Not to share them with the people I am trying to get away from! ( Another reason why I have twitter).

Effect wise- the effects are good, everything is good, but the concept. I like the instagram network, but the Facebook network will stay the same. Its pointless, if I want to share a photo on Facebook, I would share it through instagram, not get a whole new app...

What to expect when your expecting- Review

When you saw the trailer for the movie " What to expect when your expecting" , you probably thought to yourself that it was one of those star packed comedies. After all, you basically know everyone that starred in it. Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford, Anna Kendrick, Dennis Quad... That's a lot of stars.

By watching this- it kind of reminded me of Valentines Day, in the sense that the movie is telling several different stories, that don't really end up intermixing. All the stories revolve around the same idea of getting a child and the ups and downs of pregnancy. The interesting thing is that all these woman handle it different, Cameron Diaz playing a fitness star, has to keep up with her show. Elizabeth Banks being an author, having the hardest pregnancy experience and Jennifer Lopez trying hard to adopt a child while having a hard time at her job. All while Brooklyn Dekker is relaxing and not even having a problem with it.

No doubt about it, this movie was funny. It wasn't good for children, but it was still really funny. My mom was crying halfway through the movie and I think she understood more of the jokes than anyone else. I thought it would be cheesy, but it was actually really, genuinely funny.

The story of it was really good, and was well plotted and I really liked how every character had a personality and relationships with the characters around them, they weren't just there to act as a filler, they actually had a role in the movies. One of my favourite parts was the group of all the dads walking the baby! Those actors played that part really well and I was laughing so hard!

Overall this is a movie good for everyone, I would recommend it more for girls than boys but I still think that it is a good movie for mostly all. Also, it is not good for younger children. What to expect when your expecting will have you laughing from the beginning to the end. B+

Vampire Diaries- Season Finale. Thoughts!!

I know this is a bit late, but I have been a Vampire Diaries fan for the longest time. Back when I was in the 6th grade- my mom introduced me to the world of the love triangles and Vampire Diaries. At that time, Vampire Diaries was being called a " Twilight Copy" and other names. I didn't want to be near it. After a long night of homework, I came downstairs to rest and everyone was watching Vampire Diaries. After complaining of how much I didn't want to see Vampires, I finally watched 2 minutes of it. I stayed that whole hour.

The Vampire Diaries is so highly addictive. I have been on and off with many shows: Switched at birth, the secret circle, Nine Lives of chloe king, the lying game, pretty little liars and many others. Although I may miss some episodes, I have never missed an episode of Vampire Diaries. That says something.

Its the whole dynamics of the snow that make it so good. The characters have great personalities. Elena is someone that people can relate to because she is pretty genuine. She isn't one of those bratty girls like they portry her in the book. Damon and Stefan are too easy to love. They're contrasting personalities are what makes the audience fall in love with them. Not to mention the love triangle- Elena Damon and Stefan. We all know what team your on. Team Damon. Well thats me.

The acting is so good. Nina Dobrev has pulled such an impressive performance to play both Elena and Katheraine that it is astounding. She pulls if off so well. Not to mention the other characters. A few of my favourites were: Damon, Stefan, Caraoline, Bonnie, Claus, Rebeccah, Elijah, Lexi and a lot more. The acting is what keeps us watching the show, because it is pulled off so well.

SPOILERS!!!!

Thoughts on season 3 finale:

Holy crap! That finale was amazing. My favourite episode of the whole series. I loved how they did the flashbacks and how much emotion and meaning they put into it. It seriously made me want to cry.

So starting- Claus got staked in the last episode. Later on Alaric found him and staked him. I was in shock!!!! How was it going to turn out!! Later when Elena had to make her choice and chose Stefan, I was upset. Mostly because I am team Damon. Also the part when I found out that Claus was actually alive, he just was living in Tylers body confused me. Bonnie cast a spell to sacrifice Tylers body to make sure her friends lived. But Claus is still living. Lastly Matt and Elena drove off the bridge! They got into a little accident- we experienced flashbacks with what happened with her parents and the current situation. Elena told Stefan to save Matt first- and he agreed. But what I don't understand is that Stefan is so strong- couldn't he save both of them?? But Elena's body is retrieved and Alartic dies. If he dies, it could be for only one reason- Elena is dead! Later on we dissever that Merdith gave Elena blood to heal her from her previous injury- vampire blood. This can only mean one thing-

ELENA IS A VAMPIRE!!!

WOAH!!!!!!! I KNEW THAT WAS GONNA HAPPENN!!!!!

Songs I liked before they were famous!!!

You know those songs that become hits, like 6 months after the song comes out? There are a lot of people that probably bought that song before it. Here are the songs I listened to before they came out as big songs!!

Naturally- Selena Gomez

As soon as her first album came out, I demoed each song and loved Naturally instantly. At that time the song " Falling Down" was a huge hit and Naturally wasn't known. It still is a great catchy song!

Smile- Avril Lavigne

When her new album came out, I demoed it and loved it. I only bought a few songs before completing my album in the end, smile was one of them. Even though it swore, I still thought it was a pretty good song.

Curiousity- Carly Rae Jepsen

When her new album came out, I bought this song. I loved it!! I was surprised to see it on the radio a couple weeks after!!!

Arms- Christina Perri

After hearing the amazing " Jar of hearts" I demoed her album. I  loved this song and its great meaning and melody.

Domino- Jessie J

I bought this song before it started being played on the radio!!!I loved it so much and had it on auto repeat. Then I started hearing it on the radio months later!!!
